Like hard shell tacos? Then this dish is for you! Named Volcanes (volcanoes) or Vampiros (vampires); depending on the geographic area of Mexico… But It really doesn’t matter how you call them -They are simply delicious!!! Volcanes are a style of taco, but instead of a tortilla to hold the goodies, they come on a tostada (like a hard shell but flat). It’s important to point out that the tostada must be toasted on a comal until crispy-firm. Normally tostadas are fried… But not for Volcanes because tostadas toasted on a comal add a very special / distinctive favor.
These tostadas are then topped with melted cheese and Chorizo
